Concrete Volume Calculator (m³)
Short answer
Concrete volume is length × width × depth, with every dimension in metres, giving cubic metres. A 6 m × 4 m slab 100 mm thick is 6 × 4 × 0.1 = 2.4 m³; with 5 % waste, order about 2.52 m³.
- Net volume
- 2.4 m³
- Order (with waste)
- 2.52 m³
Formula
Volume (m³) = L × W × (Depth mm ÷ 1000) × Count × (1 + Waste %)
Worked example
6 m × 4 m × 0.100 m = 2.4 m³. Adding 5 % waste gives 2.52 m³ to order.
